Standards, editorial policy and corrections
This page states who is responsible for Avatarmatic, what the site publishes, how errors are corrected, how refunds are handled, and how to reach a person. It applies to every page on avatarmatic.com, including the use-case guides and production checklists.
1. Who is responsible
Reviewed 22 October 2026
Public pages are owned by the editorial function, and every page that makes a product or policy statement carries a review date. The responsibilities below are real functions, not job titles invented for this page. All of them are reached at hello@codeaustral.com, and a person reads that inbox.
| Function | Responsibility | Contact |
|---|---|---|
| Editorial | Approves each page before publication, checks claims against the product, and keeps the review date current. | hello@codeaustral.com |
| Corrections | Receives error reports, verifies them, and publishes the correction note on the page that was wrong. | hello@codeaustral.com |
| Product support | Answers setup, account and publishing questions. Support is by email; paid support is not handled by a chatbot. | hello@codeaustral.com |
| Billing and refunds | Reviews charges, cancellations and refund requests and replies with a decision and a reason. | hello@codeaustral.com |
| Privacy | Handles access, deletion and consent questions, and maintains the cookie categories described on this site. | hello@codeaustral.com |
Named staff for each function are listed in the owner’s internal record and are provided on request. This page names the function and the working address so that no request is sent to an unattended mailbox.
2. Editorial policy
Reviewed 22 October 2026
Avatarmatic publishes three kinds of material, and nothing else is presented as editorial:
- Product documentation. How the studio works, what a room is, which providers can be connected, what the publisher must review before going live.
- Guides and production checklists. Use-case guidance, script and review checklists, disclosure guidance and maintenance notes. These are practical, not promotional.
- Answers. The FAQ and the support answers, including the awkward ones about price, refunds, rights and limits.
What we will not publish
- A price we cannot honor at checkout, or a “regular” price that was never charged.
- Countdowns, seat counters or scarcity that is not backed by a real limit.
- Accreditation, partnership, customer numbers or outcome figures without a source we can show.
- Guarantees about avatar realism, lip sync, turnaround or language coverage. These depend on the provider and the material.
- “Best”, “No. 1”, “official” or “leader” without a published ranking that says so.
How pages are written
Drafting may use AI assistance. Every page is read, corrected and approved by a person before it is published, and that person is accountable for what it says. Pages are written in plain English: the reader is a support lead, a teacher, a small shop or someone starting out, not a specialist in generative video.
Dates
Pages that make product or policy statements carry a review date. A date means a person re-read the page and confirmed it against the product, not that the file was touched.
3. Sourcing and claims
Reviewed 22 October 2026
A claim is published only when it can be checked in the product, the repository, a provider’s documentation, or a record the owner can produce. When a claim cannot be checked, it is left out rather than softened.
- Product behaviour is checked against the live studio and the provider documentation at the time of review.
- Prices are checked against the plan screen in the workspace. This site does not repeat a price that the checkout does not show.
- Reviews and ratings shown on this site are owner-provided and are not edited by the editorial process. Where a figure has no public source, it stays as supplied and is recorded for the owner.
- Provider names (OpenAI, LiveAvatar, Anam, D-ID, ElevenLabs) describe supported integrations. They are not sponsorships or endorsements.
4. Corrections policy
Reviewed 22 October 2026
If a page is wrong, we correct the page — not a comment somewhere else.
How to report an error
- Email hello@codeaustral.com with the subject “Correction”.
- Include the page address, the sentence that is wrong, and what the correct information is. A screenshot or a provider link helps.
- You do not need an account to report an error, and you do not need to be a customer.
What happens
- The report is checked against the product or the source. If it is right, the page is corrected.
- Substantive corrections are marked on the page with the date and a short note describing what changed.
- If we disagree, we reply with the reason and the source we used. We do not silently ignore a report.
- Product facts that change (providers, languages, limits) are reviewed on the quarterly review date, not only when someone complains.
Correction log
No public corrections have been issued since this log opened on 22 October 2026. When one is issued, it is listed here with the page, the date and the change.
5. Refunds and billing
Reviewed 22 October 2026
Avatarmatic is a paid product. The plan, its price and its billing interval are shown in the workspace before you confirm a payment. No free plan and no trial are offered, so a payment is never taken to “unlock” access that was described as free.
What is refundable
- A charge you did not authorise, or a duplicate charge: reported and refunded once verified.
- A plan that was paid for but never activated: refunded, or activated if you prefer.
- A billing error on our side: corrected in full.
What is not automatically refundable
- Usage already delivered by Avatarmatic or by a connected provider.
- Provider charges billed directly by OpenAI, LiveAvatar, Anam, D-ID or ElevenLabs. Those are handled under that provider’s terms.
- A change of mind after access has been used, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
How to request a review
Email hello@codeaustral.com with the account email, the charge date, the amount and what went wrong. A person reviews it and replies with a decision and the reason. Nothing in this policy removes a statutory right you have under consumer law.
The binding commercial terms are the ones shown at checkout and in the Terms of Service. This page explains how those terms are applied; it does not replace them.
6. Privacy and cookies
Reviewed 22 October 2026
The Privacy Policy explains what is collected and why. The Cookie Policy lists the cookie families.
- Strictly necessary cookies keep sign-in and security working. They cannot be switched off.
- Functionality cookies remember choices such as language and player settings.
- Analytics cookies tell us which guides are read and where readers stop.
- Marketing cookies measure campaigns and cap repetition.
Consent is stored in the first-party cookie avatarmatic_consent with the chosen categories, a policy version and a timestamp. The boxes are checked by default; untick what you do not want and save. Consent Mode v2 is granted by default and your stored refusal is applied on every page. You can reopen the bar from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer at any time.
7. Contact and review
Last reviewed 22 October 2026 · next review 22 January 2027
One address reaches all of the functions above: hello@codeaustral.com. Applications for a workspace are handled on the apply page. Product and pricing questions are answered on the pricing page.
This page is reviewed every quarter and after any material change to price, plan, provider support, refunds or consent. If a review date passes without a new review, treat the page as unverified and ask us.
